The undersigned organizations1 are writing to emphasize the importance of broadband access for veterans and to thus support the FCC’s proposed modernization of the Lifeline program and inclusion of veterans program in the Lifeline eligibility criteria.2 A modernized Lifeline program that provides a subsidy to help low-income veterans to obtain broadband Internet at home would be extremely valuable.
